An American Indian asleep in his canoe...is
resting after a long days journey and allowing the river to carry
him gently down stream....but drifting dangerously close to a
waterfall - will he wake up in time to row to shore and safety?
Many lessons can be drawn here - one of
the biggest is about unforeseen danger - and it's a situation
people face drifting in lifes canoe, unaware and asleep to eternal
realities - not realising the dangers ahead...or their need for
a Saviour.
Roselyn Doyne Clark, wrote to me and shared
about how her Grandma had a similar picture on her wall of an
Indian asleep in his canoe, as he neared a falls. it still remains
vivid in her mind...as she had never seen another like it. I
asked Roselyn for permission to produce a similar picture -
which can be seen here.
The picture has a story to tell and it
would be good to find the original source of inspiration, if
any subscribers know of this please contact me, it would be good
to know the background to it...which has so many lessons to teach
us.
