In the Spring of 2000 I had been
asking the Lord to show me what kind of picture I should produce
for an outreach to the Isle of Man motorcycle races with Christian
Motorcyclists Association, later after reading "Our Daily
Bread" Bible notes, there was a theme for April 15th of
that year called - "Triumph over the grave" ....as
an ex-biker when I read this I couldn't help but think of a Triumph
motorcycle and what kind of picture this would make, I eventualy
turned it into the picture you see here.
There is a tombstone in the picture
with the inscription - "To put your fears to rest, put your
faith in Christ" and the Grim Reaper is getting a big fright
- "Yikes! I hate it when they jump out like that!!"
.....as the Christian biker roars past out of the grave, waving
the banner of Jesus Christ.
Triumph, make wonderful motorcycles
- but like all things of this earth they will pass away, but
there is one "Triumph" which will last for eternity
and it's one we would all do well to own - it is the one Jesus
Christ made when He triumphed over Death and Hell when He rose
from the dead, all who truly believe in Him will experience what
He said in John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the
life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies"
It's a promise and a triumph for everyone who believes in
Him.
The picture was completed while on the streets
of Douglas the main town of the island - It was interesting to
see the response of bikers and people walking by who saw the
picture. It is hoped and prayed many seeds have been sown in
the hearts of folk, who would ponder the message and it's meaning....Triumph
over the grave through Jesus Christ.
